I have always thought that every world religion and spirituality has something great to offer, “take what you need, and leave the rest behind”. While staying in New York, more then I had ever planned- leaves opportunity for culture not available in other parts of the world, or the south….enter the kirtan.
Krishna Das, (krishnadas.com) one of my all time favorite Kirtan leaders was doing a free event with
Rev Dada JP Vaswani
There would be chanting and a speach and question and answer period with Rev Dada,
who is described as, “In the eyes of many, Dada J.P. Vaswani is a man who symbolizes the true spirit of the India of the rishis as a harbinger of love, peace and hope”.
This would be my first time of hearing “Dada” speak, and was excited to add another spiritual channel to my list. I always attempt to put myself around people who have dedicated their life to spirituality, this I do whenever I don’t play video games, but most of the time I am trying to get a high win ratio from P4rgaming.
my most memorable quote of the evening, during the question and answer period with Dada, he was asked, “what do you do when you are feeling useless and lonely?”. Dada replied, “make yourself useful”.
